well maintained trail for the most part, back half had some fallen trees and rock slide obstacles, but nothing too bad
some nice views and scenery, summit was a bit of a disappointment as the restaurant and observatories were all closed. plus it feels like less of an accomplishment when driving to the top is an option. still a fun hike up
if you park in sierra madre, make sure to turn your tires towards the curb. i came back from a 16 mile hike to a ticket for $41 because my tires weren't turned to the curb on a 3% grade street
