This was our first hike (and I mean first hike in a LONG time) and overall it went great!! Last hour before the summit was rough, but we powered through. We forgot insect repellent and the bugs were terrible! We had swarms around our heads each time we stopped for even a few seconds – definitely swallowed a few. The trails were in great condition and it was a beautiful day, weather was perfect. Overall, a great experience and looking forward to the next 5 peaks!
