13.7 miles. Completed it in 5hr 30min. I arrived at the trailhead parking lot around 5:30am and no one was around. I was going to attempt to start in the dark with my headlamp but instead waited about 15 minutes until some sun crept in so I could see the trail. It was incredibly cold. I was alone hiking until I saw maintenance workers at the top of the peak. The trail was beautiful and riddled with numerous stream crossings and boulders. My shoes were soaked the majority of the hike. Snow was present when I reached higher elevation. The weather, though sunny, was brutal with a wind chill making it feel like it was below 20 degrees. I couldn’t feel my feet, hands, or face for the last 3 miles to the top. The trail is very well marked and I saw a few hikers as I made my way down. I got back to my car at 11:15am.
