Completed 3 of 6 of the San Diego Six Pack of Peaks challenge. Started hike at 11am and it was already in the mid 70s. By high-noon, temperature reached 83. It was a challenging hike. About 500 feet gain at every mile. The boulder stairs can be very challenging especially at warm temperature – which you should avoid at all cost. It wasn’t a crowded hike. No shade and no wind. Would recommend carrying at least a gallon of water especially if temp is above 80s. Other than that, it was a good hike. Very challenging. I’m glad it’s over.
