With the year-end deadline looming and not being certain I'll have time to do my other remaining three, I decided to take an easy way out with a fun easy hike at Mount Woodson. I completed it on a Saturday afternoon, so it was not busy and quite enjoyable actually. For years, this was my least favorite hike in San Diego because it was soooo crowded the first time I did it. However this time around, it was more crowded than the hikes I typically do, but much quieter than I anticipated.
Started at 1.19 pm from the Lake Poway parking lot and finished at 4.18 pm, so just under 3 hours including photo stops and catching breaths. There were perhaps only 5 people in line to take a photo on potato chip rock, which is pretty good, but I didn't take a pic of myself on it because I was worried about the 4.45 pm parking lot gate closure to get my car out.
No bugs, nice warm weather.
