I made it to the summit of Bill Williams on a leisurely Tuesday morning. I think because it was a weekday I did not encounter a single person on the trail, which was pretty cool.

I was able to make it to the lookout tower by taking the service road after encountering the section of the trail that was closed. I left Phoenix early and got on the trail a little after 9am. Parking lot was desolate and I headed out!

The trail was nice, and with over 2,000′ of elevation change, it was a great workout!

As much as I love lookout towers at the top, that also means service roads and other things up there too…so not as quiet and peaceful as some of the other hikes on this challenge. However, as I was the only one on the Mountain today, I was able to find a little spot for reflection!

4 of 6 complete!
