We started at 5:15am to beat the heat. Used headlamp for a few minutes only since the sunlight was starting to come out to play. It took us 4.5 hours to get to the top since we took several breaks along the way. The cafe opens at 10am, FYI. I love that you can refill water at the top! I heard from locals that the bear was seen around Orchard Camp a couple of days ago, so heads up! We did see a deer along the way!
The way back was a little brutal as it started to really get hot. I got stung by a bee who was trying to eat my sweat. Glad to have completed this, I will definitely be back.
