We took students from the LBC Sierra Club Wilderness Travel Course up for their first conditioning hike. The weather was a bit chilly and foggy in the early am but the sunrise was beautiful. Perfect conditions for hiking. Not to cold not to warm. This was my second time hiking this peak and it was definitely easier the second time around. Plus the waterfall was still just as beautiful. We stayed at a decent pace as we had different skill levels to accommodate. Once you get to the covered picnic tables with that gorgeous view you realize why you love hiking so very much. We also practiced some nav after lunch before we ascended down. I didn't take as many pics as I usually do as I wanted to be present and help WTC students. It was extremely gratifying to see the sense of accomplishment on our student's faces after we had finished. Although long, Mt. Wilson is always a great hike.
