I loved this trail. I felt a little worried when I was huffing and puffing right out of the parking lot, but it leveled off nicely. The views were beautiful and I really liked the switchbacks. You pick up elevation rapidly, but the switchbacks make it feel doable. The pine forest scent and peaceful trail were a real pleasure. There was some snow across the trail in a few places near the peak, but nothing that wasn't surmountable with poles. It was kind of fun to see some snow in April! The peak is bald, much like Mt. Baldy, which makes for great views. We ladies had lunch on a log just past the summit.
