Arrived around 8am for my 2nd Peak – there were still some parking spots in the parking lot. The trail started climbing right away and didn’t let up most of the way until the ridge. After the ridge there was another climb to the top where the trail was covered in small mounds of snow. Some people were climbing over them – it was doable but slippery – I almost slipped on the way down, but caught myself with one of my trekking poles, which ended up getting caught in the snow and breaking. Other people were avoiding the snow and cutting through the switchbacks in those areas. Temperature was cool, but perfect for hiking. Completed the smaller hike to Big Horn Mine after. Great views overall!
