We started our hike at about 8:30 AM and it was a chilly day, around 50F going up the peak. There were a lot of people on the trail all throughout the hike. This was the first hike after a while due to the Bobcat fire that closed down a lot of the trails in the Angeles National Forest. The roads are open but there was a lot of burnt down areas. Onto the hike itself, the trail is switchbacks after switchbacks uphill at a gradual grade. The trail is well-managed and the views are pretty nice. We reached the summit after around 3 and a half hours. At the top, there was a complete view of Mt. Baldy across the ridge and a big American flag. Also, there was the monument of Robert Baden-Powell. The way down from the top was much quicker, as the gradual downhill was runnable. Overall, a really enjoyable, moderately challenging hike that offers nice views.
