The weather was overcast in the morning, making the beginning of the trail enjoyable with not much hot sun. Toward the end of our hike going down, the sun was on full shine, it was good that the trail down had some shade to rest. Hiking up to the summit was fairly steady but tiresome in my calves. Hiking down was a mission, between the exertion on my knees and the extra caution for the rock sliding underneath our feet. But overall the views from the top are well worth it. Would definitely recommend to start early to not get the harsh sun midday.

How was the snow? Did u need micro spikes?
No, most of it was off to the side, not on the actual trail; as the day got warmer the parts of the trail that did have snow were melting. If anything bring hiking poles. Not necessary but would be helpful.
