Oh man! What a way to finish up my 6 peak challenge. My group and I started at 6 and as we locked our car we saw a bear! This was awesome as it gave us the energy we needed to start this hike. We talked about the bear all the way up to the fire road. The incline was not bad until we reached the Devils backbone. This is where the challenge begun. It was fun to se the mountain drop off on the backbone but as soon as we reached the last part up to the summit it was insane. I took me about an hour to hike up to the summit. Once there it was great, as we were able to see Catalina and the coast. As we left we went down the Baldy Bowl trail to the Ski Hut and then San Antonio Falls. This was so challenging as it was very steep and the trail is full of boulders and sand. We went slow and got back to our car at 5:30. This was an all day event but we did it! It has been one of the best hikes and a great way to finish the challenge!
