Awesome conditions! Started early (6:15), used the fire road assent to the top of the notch, and took the Devil's Backbone route to the summit. Summited just before 9:30 ( and surprisingly encountered only 1 other hiker en route). VERY windy near the top (wish I packed gloves), but otherwise clear and perfect conditions for a morning hike. No trouble on the backbone. Descended via the Baldy Bowl. Can't believe I waited this many years to take that route down. Otherworldly scenic beauty! Had a blast!
