Wow! What a beautiful day for a hike! We arrived around 10:30 am on Friday morning and easily found parking at Mitchell Canyon. We were shocked how few people were on the trails today! It was in the 70’s and the wildflowers blooming smelled delicious. The flys were pretty annoying but at least they didn’t bite or sting. We hiked to Twin Peaks and Eagle Peak then up to the main summit. Make sure you go in the visitor center and stand on the actual summit! The whole second half of the hike was really easy and downhill. Not much wildlife besides a couple lizards, 1 deer, and a few turkeys.
