We knew going in that this was going to be a hard hike, especially since it was just around summer Solistice. Luckily we came prepared with ample fluids, energy snacks and loads of determination. We started early, so we were able to make decent progress before the sun could bear us down. But, it did get hot pretty fast. Once up at the peak, it was worth the effort. The day got even hotter as we made our way down. We did struggle towards the last two miles but finally made it back! Great hike, great memories.
