Our final hike of the pack, Mt Diablo, is also the first major hike we did after signing up for the Everest Base Camp trek and has always been a special and challenging place for us. This hike was no different.
We (mostly me) vastly underestimated the temp and it's likelihood to warm up, wearing shorts and some thin long sleeves. The clouds never really burnt off and the wind kept up most of the time, so the ridgeline trail was especially enjoyable.
Underpreparedness aside, the views were great, a good number of people on the trail, and overall we made the best of it. Up and down in about 5.5 hours.
