Despite the forecast of heat in the 90s, we were stubborn enough to climb up. The views are spectacular, and the heat kept the crowds away. Had we got an earlier start on the day, we might have tried doing Mt. Pilchuck as well, since they are nearby. But glad we didn't as I ran out of water on the way down and there was just a small water source about half way up. Bugs – primarily horse flies but also some mosquitoes, were around but let me eat my sandwich at the top 🙂
