The day started with light rain and some wind. As we got to up to the final trail junction and started the final ascent, the wind picked up and the rain continued (approximately 25 mph on top with the storm that blew in on 9/1 and continued on 9/2 during the hike). The temperatures were very cold, and we needed the winter type gear that we had brought to make it up due to the cold and rain. Visibility on top was non-existent, but was glad to make it to the final Big Foot “pit” stop on top. Great to have gotten number 5 completed. Helen Lake tomorrow is our final challenge hike. Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!
