Mt. Kimball was a challenging hike. First mile was easy, but the incline starts from there. There are some lulls in the elevation gain, but for the most part it is consistent. The second half of the incline is steeper than the first half. Quite a few rocks to climb over. There were some areas of snow which was nice, but nothing difficult. Upon reaching the peak, it was very cold due to the wind. 100 ft from the peak it the temperature was much warmer. Was amazing how quickly the temperature changed. The view from the top was absolutely amazing. Going down was much more difficult and we did not have poles. Definitely need to be careful with your steps as it is steep and can be slippery in parts. We just took it slow. Overall, it was a great and challenging hike. On to the next one! 🙂
