After a big old long drive we finally arrived at the Nordic station parking lot..driving over two hours for a 4 mile RT hike didnt sound too fun so we opted to add the 321 challenge, summitsum the highest peak in Ventura County, Sawmill peak, the highest peak in Kern County and Grouse Mountain, it was beautiful terrain, the only difficulty was in the hot sun beating down on us on the return trip. We started early and only saw a few hikers on the way up, on the return trip we saw many more but still it was much less people than say Cucamonga peak. I had never hiked in the area but it was gorgeous.
