Hiked this trail with two amazing friends, and we had such a great time!
We arrived at the trailhead at 0600 and there was a lot of parking available. Took the counter-clockwise route up by the little ski hut and it was a rather steep ascent with beautiful views. Not much traffic leading up to the summit. We kept hiking at a steady pace and only stopping to adjust our gear.
The trail leading up to the summit for the last 300 ft or so was covered in snow, but the snow was easy and felt safe to hike on without having to stop to put on our microspikes. It got a bit chilly on the summit, but nothing too bad with proper clothing. Note to self: bring a windbreaker, winter hat, and gloves for the higher elevation summits.
We descended down the devil's backbone route which was super nice on the knees and body overall. The views were unbelievably beautiful as well. There was A LOT of traffic coming up that though.
All in all, such a beautiful hike!
