My first of the 6 peaks challenge! I wanted to start year 28 on an exciting and active note, so me and 2 friends climbed Mt Baldy on my birthday.
I grew up in San Antonio, so I felt like this was a good way to connect my Texas roots with my current passions in LA.
The hike was easily the most beautiful hike I’ve experienced so far. You walk through many different terrains, and the views are amazing the whole time. There was this tree on the devils backbone trail that was probably the coolest tree I’ve ever seen. I’ve been growing bonsai trees, and it was like the giant version of them. Overall an unforgettable experience, and it definitely sparked my interest in hiking.
It got extremely windy/chilly at the top so I would definitely bring layers. Have fun 🙂
