Mt. San Gorgonio Summit

Trailhead:

Vivian Creek

Trail Conditions:

ROAD:

Snow:

Started at Vivian Creek. Was initially concerned it might get wet, but as the sun rose, the clouds moved off, and had a lovely time up Mill Creek and the first set of switchbacks. It was nice to get a bit of a breather once I reached the portion of the trail that follows Vivian Creek, which was still only a trickle at this time of year. Amazing views the whole way, especially on the descent, as the cloud moved in below and I was able to get some great photos of misty mountain tops, almost hidden in the mist. The summit itself was a bit anti-climactic, but the 360 degree views are impressive. Wasn't too hot, so didn't end up needing the 4L of water I had with me, but it is a long day, especially when you take as many photos as I do. Proud to have completed the Six Pack within the calendar month of April, just in time for my 40th birthday this Thursday. It has been great to challenge my body in this way. #imcomingforyouWhitney #2019
