The weather was nice on the way but cloudy on the top. The trail was surprisingly dry considering there had been two days of shower prior. There were small patches of snow in the private property area. The first (and last) mile was shady, rocky and fun which led to the service drive that was wide enough for 10 people walking side by side. The next mile or so had some rock formations and beautiful views of the Napa Valley. For the rest part of the trail, though as much as I appreciated the accessibility the service drive provided, the mountain looked so wounded by the road that I couldn't feel the joy of walking in the nature. I didn't get to see the fantastic view on the top that other hikers mentioned because of the fog and cloud but fortunately the after-hiking drink at Napa made up for it.
