Headed up Mt. Timpanogos on Thursday. I decided to go on a weekday to avoid having to reserve a parking spot and also went without the puppy. I had heard of a couple incidents with dogs the past few weeks and didn’t want to navigate any k-9 issues.
I arrived at the trailhead around 6:45. The parking lot was about half full, so plenty of spaces.
The trail itself was really nice. A steady gradual climb with periodic waterfalls and snow crossings.
After three hours or so I made it up to the saddle that overlooks the Western side of the mountain. From there it was some fun navigating the rocky ledges and switchbacks that lead to the peak. Once on top I took in the famous metal hut and all the views.
Overall a great hike!
