Nice day! Got to trail about 8:30am and got one of the last parking spots, though people seemed to be coming back from runs and rides (the next closest parking area appeared to be several miles away). Seemed like a very popular area.
The trail was I. Good condition with many route options to the top. Some areas had a lot of loose rock or exposed rock, which might be tough on feet, but never too steep. We stuck to the wider fire roads.
Though we were warm on the way up, the last 1/2 mile to the peak was foggy, windy, rainy, and cold. But we popped out of the fog at the very top for some nice views, though there was some rock scrambling required.
Took a route down past the Mountain Home Inn, which was perfect for lunch!
