Started from Stinson Beach at Dipsea to Steep Ravine, Old Stage Road, Fern Creek to Mt Tam. Reverse Fern Creek to Old Stage Road, Matt Davis to Stinson Beach. The trail head and end are maybe 1/4 of a mile apart, park near one of them. Favorite part of the trail has to be Steep Ravine, fairytale or for the gentlemen Jurassic Park like. But even though it is amazing I wouldn't come down this way; too wet and slippery. Old Stage Road gives you a chance to catch your breath. The trail is hard but I appreciated a flat section. Look out for the mountain bike riders here also. On the way back Matt Davis has tons of poison oak, be mindful when you move slightly off trail to give the “right away”. Overall awesome hike!
