We got a mid afternoon start and found the hike to be pretty easy. Lots of up and lots of switchbacks. The switchbacks were so mild it didn’t feel like you were climbing that much.
Best part of the hike for me was the wildflowers and flowering bushes. They were fabulous. I’ve been pretty much a high Sierras backpacker and been spending more time lately hiking near home out at Pt. Reyes or Mt. Tam. Have been disappointed by the wildflowers and to my joyful surprise there were lots and lots of flowers and many I have never seen before or don’t remember seeing. 🙄
Overall nice hike. Both our apple watches showed was about 8 miles not 7.4 but whose counting 🙃
