Trail was in good condition. Lots of trail runners in the first 3-4 miles. There were a lot of opportunities for water, including at the top. Wild flowers were beautiful but the gnats were a nuisance, especially after last water. (I used a mosquito net – helped a ton!)
After the the last water the trail gets much tougher. I have lived in so cal my whole life and never been to the top! The hike was surprisingly beautiful.
