Perfect day for our 1st peak in the SoCal Six Pack of Peaks Challenge.  The weather was perfect.  We started 5:40am with temps in the low 50s and summited Mt. Wilson around 8:40am.  We saw just a few other hikers going uphill and many more trail runners coming down.  Beautiful views the whole way and perfect temps.  The trail is super well maintained and just one spot where you have to crouch very low to get under a tree crossing the trail.  Other than that the conditions were perfect.  We spent some time at the peak resting and having an early lunch and arrived back to the trailhead by 12:30pm.  The temps were close to 80 degrees by noon so we were definitely glad to have started early.  Hip flexors and calves are getting some rest now!  Feeling blessed to spend time with my son!
