We got all of So Cals greatness. Started just before sunrise. Hit the trail and saw some sunshine along the way… then the clouds rolled through and brought us the beauty of rain, hail and fluttering snow. There was plenty of cover that we didn’t need a rain coat until we hit the top! So much amazing beauty found in the stillness since the weather did not make it a popular day to summit.
There was an area that we thought for sure we were off the trail because it was quiet and not as visible as we had been used to seeing. Thankfully we saw some mountain bikers that let us know there was only one way up and we were well on the way.
We couldn’t find the Mt. Wilson sign but settled with the metal Mt. Wilson Observatory sign. Views were not as visible due to the weather, but amazing overall.
