I loved this trail! We took advantage of the June gloom (without which I think this trail might be too sunny and miserable) and enjoyed what felt like a mystical forest at points. There was a good amount of Poison Oak, but all of it was easily enjoyable.

It did start to heat up toward the top and the bugs became significantly more annoying. It’s worth it to walk around the top and check out the observatory.
