The trail was hot at times but there were plenty of places with shade to stop. There were a few places to get water using filtration on the trail (First Water, Orchard Camp) where it intersects with Little Santa Anita Creek. There are restrooms at the trailhead and at peak as well as a few water fountains at the peak.
