I had not hiked Mt Wilson in a long time so it was nice to be back. At 5:30 AM there was a policeman putting a “Parking Lot Full” barrier at the bottom of the road… All the waiting cards went pass the sign and found parking spots. I guess they anticipated the lot to be full very early. I  wanted to do the loop without doing the last 1/2 mile uphill at the end but I missed the trail at the start so we did go uphill in the heat with no shade!

The park at the top was closed, even to pedestrians. This is pretty stupid because you can enter the park from the trail coming the other way. Someone (me) went around the fence and opened the pedestrian gate for the few of us that were waiting.

Overall a nice hike.
