This was our 3rd peak of 2022 and it was certainly the toughest yet – Mt Wilson Trail is 7 straight miles of gradual incline. We started at 7am and there were already quite a few folks on the trail (it was a Saturday). The trail and views are great as most of the trail sits on the side of the mountain – rocks to one side and a drop-off to the other. We found the sign at Echo Rock at the top which is over near the telescopes and observatory (not the parking lot that you come to at the end of the trail).
Certainly recommend lots of water and starting early to reduce direct sun exposure. It was a great hike and glad to have crossed it off the list!
