Conditions were perfect, wish some more of the fog would have burnt off but it made for an incredible view up top!  Bring layers; we started in jackets, had tank tops on at the summit, and ended in long sleeves.  Make sure to bring some solid directions; the way up Sturtevant Trail is relatively straightforward, but coming down Mt. Wilson Trail, The Old Toll Road, and then Winter Creek there were several junctions where we had to pause and double check our directions before continuing down.

Heads up that the parking lot was completely full by 6:20am when we arrived; we had to park another half mile down the road and it turned this into a 15+ mile hike for us.  As we were leaving an ambulance, fire truck, and search and rescue were just packing up after a young girl jumped from Hermit Falls and was injured; don't jump from the falls people!  The detour to Sturtevant Falls was definitely worth it, but there's a bit of back-tracking to get back to Gabrielino Trail.  Bring extra socks; there are a lot of creek crossings on this hike and I was glad for a dry pair!  The Cosmic Cafe was open up top and was a nice break in the hike; we took about 4.5 hours to go up, spent an hour at the summit, and then it took less than 3 hours to come down.  Awesome hike!
