We started at 6 in the morning from Sierra Madre Mt Wilson trailhead . It was a long walk with gradual elevation. We took frequent stops . The mountains were covered with heavy fog so we couldn't see much of the view. After we passed the orchard camp there was a hailstorm and it continued till we reached Manazita ridge. We kind of enjoyed hiking through the hailstorm. The trail past that point had ice and snow but nothing impeding the path. Reached the top at 11 o clock. Top of Mt Wilson was cold and covered in fog; we were disappointed that we couldn't take in any view. We spend some time there taking pictures and freezing, then we headed back. We hiked a little bit downhill ,then my husband developed a horrible cramp in his calf. Thankfully 2 hiker gentlemen just behind us helped with medicines and support. This made us realize to take first aid kits with us always. When we hiked down it started snowing which transformed to hail then to rain as we reached lower elevations. Reached car around 4.20. Overall a colorful day which made our long hike quite memorable. Lessons learned : Always be prepared.

Congrats! Sounds like an adventure! Just curious what kind of medication the hikers gave your husband for leg cramps?
Thanks , it was quite an experience. They gave us painkillers ( ibuprofen) and Biofreeze gel.
