✨? Best Part! About this tour. Hands down adding this tour to our hike took this hiking experience to a whole other level. If you are a history buff this is a must. After walking in their footsteps, you are able to admire what was created with the concrete & materials carried up this long trail with the help of mules back when roads to the peak did not exist. Albert Einstein visited this observatory several times. The first female scientist, Margaret Harwood, permitted to use this facility in 1923. Mt. Wilson named after Benjamin Wilson who lead the build of this trail alongside Mexican and Native American help. Wilson was the 2nd mayor of Los Angeles. From Mt. Wilson to Mt. Baldy, a beam of light was projected to accurately measure/test Einsteins theory of the speed of light. This and more gained in the tour experience.
