We started our hike after sunrise. Although we just had rain the night before. The skies on the way up were clear and the beauty of the views below were amazing. The incline was steep, but the back side 67 route was the at to go to avoid injury and muddle slippery terrain. Since we have our hikes mapped out to complete the 6 peak SD and SoCal we couldn’t let the weather postpone our hike. Although we were hoping to do the longer lake poway route this got us to the peak which is ultimately the goal right?!? We played some worship music, took our time and enjoyed the fresh air! This is a favorite and a good way to start and transition into the longer hikes on the list!
