Today was a bittersweet adventure – a solo hike. Mason did not join me today. 🙁 But, I made the most of it and enjoyed the day to the best of my ability and conquered Mt. Yale! I could not have asked for a better day weather-wise – perfect temps, slight breeze, no threats of storms. Since I was solo hiking today I was able to step on the gas – round trip time was 5:20. Considering the very slow going along the ridge line it is respectable and acceptable in my book.

This wraps up my Six Pack of Peaks! I’m hoping Mason will find some time before the high elevation snows come in to wrap it up, too.

      1. I saw one of your posts in the forum. Are you getting after both the Colorado packs? Looked like you smashed the first round!

        1. Thank you! My son and I planned on doing the first six together and that’s it, but now I’m left trying to figure out how to get him to do his last one since he didn’t join me yesterday. Just one more!! How about you? Are you going for all 12?

          1. I’m sure he will get after it. Looks like he’s the sort who gets it done. I’m new to the SocialHiker jam and a little late to the party, but I plan to get all 12. Im going to attempt Harvard and Yale this weekend. Let me know if you guys headed back out the way. I like the east ridge of Yale for a bit of a change up!

        2. Go get it!! All 12, that’s awesome! He starts school again next week so there are only a few days left for him to get it in. Let me know what you think of the east ridge. It looks gnarly and has no trail at points, the correct way is UP!
