I hiked with my wife, Bonni, and her friend, Sarah, both are Social Hiker Bay Area participants, as well. Trail was easy to follow. It was basically a road you couldn’t drive on because it was too muddy, until you got to the top and was single track and very slippery, due to the rain. This made me concerned about potentially falling and getting hurt. I wore sketchers with no traction and slipped the whole way back down, due to the extreme mud after the rain. I knew I needed to buy actual hiking shoes, I just didn’t get around to it before we decided to hike this peak. I only fell once, even though I literally slipped every other step! It was a memorable experience.
