Hiking is SO MUCH like life! It’s an uphill battle, so many trails that can lead you away from your intended path, forks in the road, boulders and trees blocking your path, the weight of your bags heavy on your back, rude people that mistreat the land, slippery slopes that scare the F&@$ out of you… rough, huh? ???? Yes, BUT… the view is spectacular at every turn, people come beside you and then go and you learned so much, the trees are gorgeous and provide a nice shade, the birds make the most wonderful music, the silence is peaceful and inspiring, the flowers, the rocks and OH THAT SUMMIT!!! ???????? It’s priceless, breathtakingly beautiful beyond words! The PERSPECTIVE from the top is LIMITLESS and the JOURNEY is PRICELESS!!! Yes, it’s tough, often you need to stop to catch your breath, or sit to rest because you’re in pain and have reached your limit, or your supplies are running low and you need to ration, or you were left behind… SO MUCH OF LIFE IS LIKE THE HIKE TO A PEAK! It’s ALL beautiful and rewarding and a learning experience IF YOU CHOOSE to view it that way! ????????

Today’s hike was a little extra challenging and rewarding for me, I learned a lot along the way about hiking and my strength and abilities and only looked back to admire the beauty behind me! I only looked back to take a picture of how far I’d come so I could treasure that memory forever.
