Been inspired by hikers who have climbed some of the highest peaks in SoCal and thought I’d give it a try???? So excited to take on the #sixpackofpeakchallenge.

Summited our first peak, Mt. Wilson Observatory and it was full of surprises! We thought the hike from Sierra Madre to the summit was only 10 miles. Ended up being 14 miles with an elevation gain of 4,900 ft.???????? It was a steep uphill climb all the way up! We also didn’t expect snow on the trail so what a treat to see so much of it towards the peak❄️???????? Another cool adventure & can’t wait to check out the next peak!

Hiked this one January 2021 and didn't know the trail was closed.  There was no signs and we followed a few guys up to the trail.  Now that I'm finally logging in my hikes four months later, I'm so glad this trail has been added to the challenge because this was a challenging one. It's a beautiful trail!
