All Trails said this version was about 20 miles … Then tracked at 25 and Strava tracked at 30. It was a long day and definitely the hardest peak for us to date!

Parking areas were full by the time we got our permit and hit the trail head (7:15 ish). We followed the route from thehikingguy- up deer springs through round valley, down Wellman’s Cienega. It was a gorgeous trail and both sides were different so kept us moving even when we didn’t want to.

Saw 4 deer, lots of flowers, and was super warm at the top. Lots of hikers out!

E didn’t think she was going to make it but we took our time for the last 2 miles up since we hadn’t hit my designated time to turn around, so we summitted. Hot tea at the top helped with the energy boost to head down!
