Great day for a great hike! But eeek, the sun was coming down, fortunately, most of this hike is in the shade.
At 9am, there were about 8 cars by the Mt Dickerman trailhead; about 5 more cars were on the other side. The restroom at the other side was open and very clean and stocked with toilet paper. By 1pm, there were ~20 cars on this side of the lot.
There is pretty much no cell service, so please download maps or info in advance. I actually had no service starting 20 miles out from the trailhead. A few texts came through at/near the summit, but the signal was definitely weak. Fortunately, the trail is VERY clear and easy to follow.
The description of the hike on WTA is useful.
Rock on!
