My friend and I started parked in the parking lot across the street from the trailhead and beat the growing crowd there up the mountain sometime around 6:30 AM. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather and beautiful views, which meant there were a ton of people out on the trail that wanted to climb to the top of a mountain that has a very small area at the actual peak. I took the first of two photos that day at the summit and quickly started hiking down to give space to the several groups of hikers that were not that far behind us. We did not end up sitting down at all anywhere on the trail.
The way up was great. I just enjoyed the hike and seeing all of the wonderful views. It wasn't until on the way back to the trailhead that the crowds started picking up and foot-traffic on the trail interrupt our easy-going hike.
