We started at 6:00 AM when the sun was just rising. There was a gradual incline for most of the hike. At some point, we veered right, off the trail. This added 3 miles to our total hike. We were wondering why it felt like we were slowing declining, but since we looked at pictures of the hike, we thought we were going to right way. We ran into two other hikers who also veered right and they were coming back. We turned around and then went on the correct path. From there, there were multiple false peaks before getting to the strawberry peak. Pretty views, lots of low clouds. The hike back was downhill mostly and went fast. Glad we did not see any snakes and bugs were not bad.
