The Stevenson Memorial Trail was definitely the prettiest part of this hike. It was fun seeing rock climbers scaling the rock wall on the way up. Once you get to the Mount St. Helena Trail, it's not really that picturesque, just lots of rolling hills. Frankly, the top where the radio towers are is really a let down. It was a cool, early spring day, and partly cloudy, so long sleeves and a jacket were needed for the entire hike.
A shout out to Local Q 707 for some great BBQ (2448 Foothill Blvd, Calistoga, CA 94515) after the hike. They were really nice and let us try different things – the pulled pork over mac and cheese was a special that day and it was yummy!
