I began this hike at 2:30 AM!! So we could get to the top in time to watch the sunrise. Walking in pitch darkness was most fun!! Definitely cold with it being 33 degrees and a wind chill of 25. My sister in law isn’t as advance as I am with hiking so we definitely took our time going up. From the previous day, with the worst winds in northern Az, we noticed multiple trees have fallen over and blocked the main trail. Wasnt hard to detour and we still made it up with no problem. As we reached the lookout station, we were rewarded with the golden hour of a sunrise. The pictures will speak for themselves!
